Sometimes putting tacos together is just too tedious! This is a great casserole-a very Midwestern dish! My husband enjoys this dish as well! It is a regular staple in our household.
Line the bottom of a baking dish with chips-to make it a healthier option you can use Beano chips, I chose a mixture of Doritos and plain tortilla chips.
Refried Beans-recipe in a previous post Layer on the chips
Brown extra lean ground beef or ground venison, season with homemade taco seasoning (first post) layer on top of beans
Sprinkle with cheese-I like sharp cheddar
Bake for 30 minutes at 350
Top with lettuce, tomato, onion, black olives, sour cream, guacamole and salsa if you wish.
