Gluten Free Banana Chocolate Chip Bread


This is a wonderful recipe I found on Gluten Free Goddess website!  It is a bit on the heavy side but very moist!  Make sure you cook for the entire hour-I have made the mistake of taking out sooner and it was too wet!  Use a oven thermometer for accurate temp-makes a world of difference in gluten free baking.

Gluten and Dairy Free Banana Chocolate Chip Bread

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1/3 cup light olive oil or coconut oil
  • 1 cup coconut sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 ½ cup gf flour blend or baking mix-I use Namaste brand
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 2 ½ tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp sea salt
  • 1 tbsp arrowroot starch
  • ½ tsp xantham gum
  • 1 rounded tsp cinnamon
  • ½ cup chocolate chips
  • Mix dry in a separate bowl.  Mix wet together with sugar and combine with dry ingredients.  Add chips in last.
  • Bake at 350 for 1 hour or until loaf is firm and a bit crusty.
